CHRISTIAN SINGLE’S GUIDE TO PERSONALITY DISORDERS
WHICH CAUSE DEPRESSION FOR BOTH THE PERPETRATOR AND THEIR VICTIMS
Chapter 25 Warning- A Christian Single’s Dating Disaster:
Narcissism And Other Personality Disorders
The Dependent Personality Disorder
Passive personalities just want to stay home, and not be involved
in any activity, including work. Many have fears of the outside world,
and they use this excuse to avoid job-hunting. They differ from the
person with agoraphobia, which is the morbid fear of being alone in a
large open space. Their fear is not a phobia, but more likely is an
excuse, (fear of the world outside) so that they don’t have to admit
to themselves and others that they are failures, too weak- willed to
face the embarrassing defeat of not being hired. If you recall, many
people see themselves as weak and unworthy, and choose to call their
problem depression, so that they won’t have to admit being weak or
unworthy. These folks can be helped by asking them what frightens
them, and then when they see that these thoughts are over blown, they
can be coaxed to venture outside. In the chapters on depression, you
will find many techniques to break the spell of depression that is
really a front for their perceived weakness and unworthiness which
they have come to believe. This will be a God-send to them, because
when they invited depression in, and declare that they have
depression, it worsens from that point on, and can result in serious
mental illness. They may have an addiction which needs to be addressed
too. Here, the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous can set them free from
alcohol and drugs. Be careful though, that they do not attend Narconon
meetings, as this is a front for Scientology. You don’t want them to
fry their brains on the e-meter (lie detector machine) do you?
The passive-aggressive personality is aggressively remaining
passive, no matter what you say or do. If he is also inclined to avoid
working, this will be his trump card. He won’t look for work in the
help-wanted column so you may read some job openings to him, but he
will be lukewarm to all of them. If you give him the paper, you’d
better follow him
