CHRISTIAN SINGLES DATING GUIDE TO SAVING
MONEY
There are so many products that damage our ground water
by being disposed of at land fills. Drain cleaner is
especially hard on our environment. According to Garbage
magazine, each family in the U.S. produces about 15 pounds
of hazardous waste a year. Cleaners made to scour ovens
are very hazardous, as well as pesticides, nail polish and
remover, paints and thinners, adhesives like Crazy Glue
and even moth balls. We all should look into natural
alternatives to these toxic cleaners. They leak into the
ground water from landfills, and also create a dangerous
work place for sanitation workers, as well as citizens who
dump their trash themselves, or dump building materials at
the city dump.
Here are two alternative cleaners that I have used. For
an oven cleaner you can use baking soda, a little water,
and a steel wool pad. After applying, you can leave a few
hours or over night and then wipe clean.
For a drain opener, you can use 1 part baking soda with
2 parts vinegar. First you pour baking soda down your
drain, then pour the vinegar into the drain. This will
cause a chemical reaction of sorts, and it will fizz and
sizzle awhile. Have a pot of boiling water to pour into
drain when the fizzing stops. Pour it all at once. This
procedure may be repeated as needed. It is not dangerous
to the environment. There are many alternatives to many
caustic substances we use all too often. You can find them
at sites which promote recycling and protecting the
environment. You will not only save money by not having to
buy these expensive cleaners, but you will do your share
to protect our water and our landfills. So it’s
definitely a win-win. P.S. Some of these natural cleaners
may require more “elbow grease” on your part, but,
hey, we all need the exercise, don’t we, Christian
singles?
